Students attending Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 have the opportunity for academic instruction in languages other than English and French.
Students may learn and/or maintain a language and develop an appreciation for cultural diversity. Students are engaged through a variety of themes and activities.
Our Saturday International Languages Program will start Saturday October 14th 2023 until Saturday June 8th 2024, from 9:30am - 12:00 pm. Our new location will be at Our Lady of Lourdes - 54 Westmount Rd. Guelph.
Based on historical enrolment, the board plans to offer the following languages.
Arabic, Chinese-Mandarin, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Punjabi, Spanish, Tigrinya, Cantonese, Urdu, Gujarati.
Registration for our Fall/Spring Session will be closed September 15th.
Once the maximum number of students for each course has been reached, additional registrations will be placed on a wait-list. There will be no walk in registration for this program, all students will need to register and receive a confirmation email from Wellington CDSB.
International Languages Elementary Program is funded by the Ministry of Education. The program is free of charge to Ontario students attending Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Personal information is collected under the authority of the Education Act and will be used for the International Languages Program only.
Fall to Spring Session
The fall program begins Saturday, October 14, 2023, and ends Saturday June 8, 2024. The languages being offered are outlined in the registration form. Once the maximum number of students for each course has been reached, additional registrations will be wait-listed.
